Please in the future tell some one.  We at MEWcon do not tolerate such behavior and would have certainly helped you out.  No one has the right to make you uncomfortable or hurt you.

Can we have karaoke next year? That's my favorite thing at other cons and MEW hasn't had it for the past two years.

I have thought about this too- I don't sing (very well) but I must admit I don't really know where we would place this, it kind of needs its own room.

I would first like to start by thanking Admin and her personal staff for throwing a wonderful con and letting us be a part of it.  I, my crew and just about everybody I talked to at the convention had a great time.  I would like to continue the thank you's by mentioning some people that really stood out to me.
Debby (my wife) For letting me do crazy projects and covering the green room food.
Scott did a great job helping secure the lighting effects, party supplies, as well as his Guest Relations duties.
Owl & Andrew were first year volunteers at MEW and attendees of an Anime convention both performed above and beyond the call of duty.
BangBangNeko was incredible as usual helping wherever possible efforts include great panels, MCing, and helping rescue stranded staff by storing lighting at their place so we could fit more in the car.
Dave and his lady did a wonderful job at the dance as DJs and really helped save the day with outstanding music and technical knowledge.
The Security team also improved 100% from last year thanks to their fearless leader, Venton. In fact the overall effectiveness of the team impressed me.  I know we have room for improvement but the number of "'pay attention to me' deficit syndrome" people I had to deal with dropped dramatically and the general maturity/ responsibility level of attendees and staff was outstanding.
Cons
I also noticed a lot of personal trash on the floor and spent a lot of time clearing table and picking up but I didn't notice a lack of garbage can.  In fact every time I picked up trash I was within 15 feet of one but when the rooms got crowed people did block the view so big signs might help next year.  It's unfortunate that a small number of inconsiderate people probably accounted for the majority of the trash...
The hotel did have issues from being a little rundown to numerous contract challenges but overall I found the staff to be polite and accommodating given how much stress(and business) a con can add to a hotel. I take as a good sign that the hotel was sold out by day two of the convention.  I know Portland is more convenient to the motor less but it's also more expensive and I for one enjoyed not paying and arm and leg for parking.
The lack of food/ food vendors was disappointing but this was another contract issue and the hotel was unable to provide cheap food other then the wonderful happy hour deals in the restraint.  The conveyance store less than two blocks away also helped to fill the gap.
Most of the communications issues I have heard about revolved around programming and scheduling and I have the utmost faith this issue will be resolved.

Overall I had a lot of fun at MEW this year, A lot of things kinda felt rushed and thrown together last minute, but everyone was generally really friendly.

The only problems I really had was that bucket. So many times people would be whipping it around and practically hitting others with the flag and not really seeming to care. I almost got stabbed in the face by it, and the person gave me a "meh whatever, not my problem" attitude when I asked them to be more careful.

The location of Main events kinda was awkward, but I LOVED the location of the Artist alley.
Many props to BangBangNeko, they were really awesome and made everyone feel welcomed.

Hmm, I can't think of much else, I really enjoyed MEW. Really really did, and will definitely be back for MEW3. <3<3

And also, I want to thank MEWcon for allowing the Nambie Pambies to perform, and thanks to everyone who stayed for our show and to also see Sachibelle, I'm sure her show was awesome (And I'm sad that I missed it.) I'm also sorry for the horrible feedback and our massive amount of stage fright.

Hopefully next year we'll be at a hotel that's (a) not falling apart, (b) doesn't flake out on their end of the contract, (c) doesn't overbook, and (d) has a place for us to put Karaoke.

I have a nagging feeling that tells me that Karaoke would be a very well-populated area and a worthwhile investment, so it'll be a major priority if I wind up a prog director again.

If a karaoke room does happen I'd love to help staff it, though honestly karaoke is the only thing I'd be interested in staffing.

Good luck with the hotel business.~

Haha, me and my friends only played Rockband so much this MEW because there wasn't any karaoke. It's just not the same :,O

Actually, I might be interested in staffing anyways to help get karaoke going. How do I join staff?

And sorry for spamming this up *.*
