Cool stuff. I'd love to make things like that, but my sculpture skills are severely lacking. *emo tear*

I thought we had a dragon hatching workshop at MEW2. Did anyone attend or was it cancelled?

It was a hatching, not a workshop. Those look very nice, depending on funds we may be able to swing that.

Yo, this is Meagen. I'm me.

We had the hatching! Not many showed up but I think it was due to the early morning time period. I am proud to be a Dragon Rider now! lol.... anyway, we do want to do it this year too. thats why we're looking at people who do sculptures and stuffed animal making, we want to have actual things to give rather then just a piece of paper.

For the budget thing, we need to make a deal with whoever we talk with like a half now and half when we actually get the characters thing so we can make sure we don't have someone taking the money and running. At least thats my thought on the subject of money.

Those are so cute... and so small... did you see they are about the size of two to three quarters?

By the way:

We have... so many (SO MANY!) damned eggs to texturize and paint before next con.

Since our last eggs were... how shall I say this... not lasting? paper mache with which not enough glue was used and we ended up using ballons anyway... the solution to this was found at Michaels right after easter, eggstra large hard foam eggs. So if you loved the Hatching LARP... Please help?

And in reference to kaku: the Hatching was a LARP. There was actually going to be a dragon egg workshop for how to make and painting up miniature dragon eggs but it was canceled before the con. Is that what you were thinking of?

Panels Mangler here....

Potential panelist (person who ran it - angelsinthewindow) send me an email at panels@mewcon.com or PM with your real name, contact info, and full panel proposals (Panel Name, description for con book, preferred times/days, length, panelist list, whether it's 18+ or "regular")....one thing I've considered is that if you are the LAST panel for the evening in the room, there is no hard end time, as long as it ends before the start of the first panel the next day.

For this event, I think that we may not necessarily have to put it into a panel room, but rather place it in an "open area"/gathering space. Let me know your ideas... by the way how many people do you expect? Do keep in mind that there is NO budget for MEWcon events, so any cost will be your own out of pocket expense (or participant expense if you choose to charge participants for materials - if there will be a charge, be certain that you include that information so that participants know what their costs will be)
