Hi! My name is Cassie but I'm known by either Rena-chan the Turk Intern or Rena Muffin. I  have been staff at Mewcon 09 and Mewcon 2010. Um....yeah, I'm an insanely crazed cosplayer who ran the library with my friend Nixi (Nixesha the Goblin King) and I figured I'd introduce myself because I've been throwing myself into school work ever since Mewcon ended and have not had time to connect with any of the awesome people I met there.

So, Nice to meet'cha!

Hio Cassie Cheesy I was a bit late coming to the con, but if you saw the dude in the blue bunny hat during the last half of the con, that was me!

See, this is why a standard naming scheme for the con needs to be in effect. I would assume that MEW 2010 would be THIS year's upcoming MEW, but some people think it's because we're going into 2010 so it should be MEW 2010 for that reason. Both are technically correct, but result in confusion at times. I'm partial to using the actual number of cons we've had, so 2009-2010 was MEW2, the upcoming is MEW3, and the year following would be MEW4, etc.

Well the "official" naming convention is to number so, MEWCon 1, MEWCon 2, etc. (for this very reason)
Occasionally you see MEWCon 2008-09, MEWCon 2009-2010, etc.
I dunno.

(do replies to rants go in [rant] tags? [replie-to-rant] tags?)
