This is kind of off-topic... but also more normal than the topic... Does anyone have a favorite brand of bacon?
One of the things I never realized when my mom always bought the bacon and I only had to cook it was the vast difference in the quality of different brands of bacon.
The generic store-brand just doesn't seem right... so far I've had the best luck with Smithfield.
For the record I like my bacon juicy and fatty not crispy.

Wow! People have interesting ways to spend their time. I like bacon that's not crispy either and I go for thick cut slices. I am partial to BLT's too =)
