No offense to the people who like that, but I thought that was really stupid, I don't see whats so cool about it. I read the comments they posted and The crowd seemed like a bunch of unintelectual Modern artist spectators. I really don't get it. It's a bunch of plants thriving on an old dead tree, you see this all the time in the forest. You didn't post anything with this link so I'm assuming its a joke, or somthing like that. I really just can't get over what a waist of books that is and how fake the commentors are. I only saw one that was funny, "All this is is plant necrofilia and canablism." although it sounds stupid it has to be the smartest commentor there. He knows that the paper is nothing more than a tree sliced into pieces as were the rest are amazed you can grow plants off books. Any way I just couldn't sit idley by looking at those picture and then the comments. I'm sure I'll get flamed by all the people that thought the pictures were "High quality art" but the only art I saw from those pictures was in the books themselves, on the pages set there in ink. The rest of it, well that is somthing you can find in any forrest, just naturally.

I found it cool =s ... its an interesting way to recycle old paper i think. and actually paper isn't made just of trees... it can be made of anything from cotton to bamboo and other grasses... ^^;

I thought the idea was at least interesting. The comments were a bit over the top for me as well, but I don't begrudge them their opinions. It'd be interesting to see what would happen if they weren't separated and it was just a big shelf of books getting overgrown.

It was interesting but as some people said unless they add nutrients the plants will die. A better way to reuse or recycle manga is to use the graphics for decoupage or even altered books. Personally I would just trade my manga in that I didn't want.
