I live in Eugene, so I had hoped that the coincidence of the Orycon ConCom meeting and the MEW Potluck being on the same day might avail me to do both. I *have* to be at the Ory meeting, because I'm running an entire Creation Station there for 3 days, with a crew of 15 panelists. (For more details, PM me!). It's likely the equivalent of Kumoricon's "Breakouts" will happen after this meeting. The meeting per se is 1pm to 3pm, and I only just now looked up where it is. If I got the address right and Mapquest is accurate, it's not even in Portland per se, and it's off the 205. Per Mapquest at least 35 minutes from BBN's, adding over an hour to my total drive time...plus the earliest I could get to the potluck, which starts at 2, is 4 or 4:30...plus I have to hop back to Eugene so my car can conduit amps and performers to the Talk Like a Pirate Day concert (my pals' Celtic/ Pirate band is playing there), which I believe starts at 8....

So unless something happens that the Orycon meeting ends like an hour early, it really wouldn't be feasible for me to make tomorrow's MEW meeting. I had really hoped to do so because I want to meet more of you, decide between being a panelist or being staff, find out who is running the art/workshop room and her/his concept for it & what is already offered for it so I know what to personally offer to run & what to propose that folks from my Orycon crew & others offer to run.

Could anyone who knows anyone who is involved in fan art, fan craft, fanfiction etc. panels & staffing & coordination at MEW please post here with info and/or please PM me?

Additionally, if anyone from MEW will be at tomorrow's Orycon meeting, please come speak to me there, and I am sure that at least some of you will be at the Kumoricon Elections meeting, and I would love if you could please come speak with me there.

It was nearly 5pm before I could leave the Orycon meeting, & I had two other projects to work on today, so there just was no way I could go further north that late; very sorry about that! That all sounds exciting! Angelsinthewindow & I have been PMing on occasion....Do you know if there is any supply budget for that room? I have some supplies I can bring (whatever I bought that I have left over from Orycon), but I won't know how much is left until mid-November.
