i have a D&D question

i have  the player handbook one and two and the monster manual

my question is what books do i need?

Depends on what you want to do: long story short, however, is that you already have everything you "need"

Basically if all you are is a player, then the only book you NEED is the PHB1

If you're a DM then you need the three "core" books PHB, MM, and DMG (Dungeon Master's Guide)

Getting the DMG is still a pretty good idea for players though because it has magic items, and some other supplementary material in it.


I'm not familiar enough with the 4th edition books, but usually the next buy is a "world" book, either eberon, or Forgotten Realms or maybe Ravenloft (non-wizards), or oriental adventures.

Which one of these you buy depends on what you prefer and who your DM is.

Maybe someone who knows the 4th Edition books better can chime in.
