I have all three books to the game:
Saiyan Saga (core rulebook)
Frieza Saga expansion
Garlic Jr./Trunks/Androids Saga expansion

I also have my own set of rules adjustments to add to the game and make it feel more like the series.
This would be my first time being GM to an actual player audience, but I have read the rulebooks front to back and feel confident that I can give players a good experience.

If anyone's played the game before, feel free to jump in. Anyone who hasn't played but would like to learn, I can give you a crash course character run-through. I'll try to have enough characters available so that players can jump in and out at any time during the adventure. Those who show up in a DB/Z/GT character cosplay can use their corresponding character in the game. If it comes to Cell, Buu, or GT sagas characters I'll just guesstimate their abilities as close as I can.

So, those who are brave enough to roll dice against fearsome enemies, bring your power and prepare for glory!

The DBZ AAG uses 3d6 (3 six-sided dice) to determine skill checks and attack/evasion rolls. Damage is determined by rolling a number of d6's equal to the number. Ex: 10 damage = 10d6. Ex. 2: Kamehameha 2000 damage = 20d6 x 100.

Though I have found that rolling a single d2 for attacks and skill checks is a lot simpler than rolling 3d6 (where the lowest number is 3 and the highest is 18).

The gameplay doesn't use the d20 system, but the many different themes for your adventures are limitless. You could fight a powerful sorcerer in a dungeon, then fight his minions who seek revenge in the depths of space on a distant moon, or even as simple as keeping watch over a nest of bird eggs overhanging a waterfall in the middle of a storm! (Goku did that!)

Sadly my last batch of funds leave me without enough to make it to the con.  Sad
But there is hope! Those who were looking forward to playing should keep an eye out on both the MEW and Kumoricon forums for a DBZ meet I have planned sometime in late January.
