This film is amazing. It opens with a shock / tease, then immerses you in the world of its characters, so that as suspense builds to its inevitable climax, and as backstory shockers are revealed, you actually care about the characters so you care what happens to them. There are original songs performed, and IMHO the best parts about it are the unique types of visual art, including some that (although it was made before it) resembles some used in Deathly Hallows. "House of Black Wings," albeit made as a Lovecraft fan film, is actually also as much an homage to Asian horror, ghost stories, surrealism, and the heights and depths one encounters on the rollercoaster ride that is trying to be a professional visual artist or performing artist. Be sure to let the panelists (or me, online) know what you think; this is only the second time this film has been shown at any convention. It's made by a friend of mine and his ensemble from Chicago. Thanks!

Kri is bringing sound-speakers, yay! There will be copies of the DVD available, if anyone is interested in running a screening. Just let me know!
