Prop question?

Anywho~! I was wondering a bit about props. For my main cosplay(Beast from Kuroshitsuji) I will have a six foot nylon bull whip with me as a prop. I am aware of needing to get it peace bonded and everything, not to crack it inside, ect. But I was wondering how it would be peace bonded? Like, would  I be able to get one around the handle of it and leave it as that so for pictures/photoshoots(whether inside or out of the convention area) I am able to pose normally with it, or will it have to be wound up and then peace bonded? I just want to make sure I know since I don't wanna get there and find out my one prop would be rendered pretty much useless. XD If someone could answer, that would be awesome! Thank you! <3

Anywhos, I would think it should be fine unwrapped. Just as you said, as long as you're careful with it and don't use it.

I'm not the expert on this (so I may be wrong), but seeing as no one else has answered:

I'm sure that a peace bond around the handle would be fine. A peace bond (in my eyes) is more of an agreement that you wont use it inappropriately.

But thank you both. I've been really worried about that these last few days. I know first hand how much a whip can hurt if hit by it, so I wouldn't even consider doing such a thing. XD I just figured that it would be more effective prop wise if I didn't have it tightly wrapped in a little circle. Bleh!

yes  a whip hurts but its not scary but if i was in  my roy mustang cosplay and a riza cosplayer had a whip now thats scary lol or a lust cosplayer lol

And since the con is more older audiences, the maturity will be higher, so I don't think they'll stress about worrying if people will actually follow the rules or not.

Kuroki- Well lust already has the terrifying nails and Riza has a gun. XD I think those are a bit more terrifying than having a whip.

Neko- Righto! Just warn me beforehand. I am not fully stable in my platform boots. I had a girl nearly tackle me down when I was wearing them for Lexaeus at Sakuracon this year. XD

Mm, it is gonna be my main costume for con, so at some point each day I'm gonna have it. Though I know first day I will have it on when I get there(whenever that may be. Fairly early, I'm assuming)
