You just lost, but seriously, I went to Anime Boston last march and people had the game written on signs and I lost like every 15 minutes. Kinda fun at first but then got really annoying. Anyone else know what I mean?

I have unfavorable opinions of "The Game" to say the least.  It reminds me of the games that people play as children where they make up the rules as they go, only totally lacking in imagination and content.

As a note, I'm one of the old guard when it comes to the internet and I do despair at the crude and banal direction net culture has been headed, but that's probably just me showing my age.

I have always wanted to make a meta game sign like:

The Game- If you have a sign you've lost eternally

or

The Game-everyone without a sign wins

;P

Everyone without a sign wins! Thats awsome! I hope someone goes to the CON with a "Lost the Game" board strapped over them. That'd be awsome. Darn, I just lost on this thread...>.<'

htg;nj54yonj;45  I just lost the game.

Everyone should make a "I lost the game" sign, and then have a huge photo with us all in it.

I love you in the way that when I punch you in the face screaming incoherently, it means I care for you dearly.

You're just annoying the heck outta me.

Yeah your better off not understanding MHopcroft.  Its one of those silly internet things that comes out 4chan that my "I joined the net when it was just public" aristocratic heart wishes would disappear, but that I know are here to stay.  Time to go wallow in my internet old age and yell at the kids to get off my virtual lawn.

I was just going to say I hate the Game so much. Seriously. You have no idea. It's up there with my hatred for stepping in dog doo. Why? Because no one would explain what it was and every time I asked they always yelled "YOU LOST THE GAME!!" and laughed at me.

It was a bitter, bitter few years until my friend explained to me that you're not supposed to think about the game when someone says "I lost the game".

That's it. That's all there is. I don't know why people like it so much. I think it's the con-o-sphere that does it.
