M.E.W.'s Convention:

M.E.W. Convention is a New Year's cross genre convention and celebration three days and nights long. Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Anime and Manga: no fandom is left behind! Dance into the New Year on our opening night Dec. 31st, welcome the new year with a touch of evil at the Villans' Ball Jan. 1st and shine up your gears for the Steampunk Masquerade Jan. 2nd. Join us for live music, panels, artist, writers workshops, crafts creation, RP (role playing), board games, CCGs (collectible card games), PC and Video game free and tournaments. These are just a few of the things that you will find held within the walls of MEWcon!

Cosplay of all genres will also find their home here. Stage steel allowed with peace bonding, bikini costuming rules still applies (no sailor moon transformation uniforms or flashing). Prizes will be awarded for both for best and most original costumes, best and most original props, most "in character" and best comidic pose.

With a new year comes new changes! MEW 3 is now 17+ (or minor accomanied by an adult/guardian)

How does this affect you? M.E.W. 3 is now able to offer a broader selection of panel topics, less censorship in AMVs, Fan-Made videos and viewing selections, no more curfews, more freedom of content and expression!

What does M.E.W. stand for?

M.E.W. is an acronym that stands for Manga and Exotic Worlds and is part of the non profit Morak Events. MEW is a cross genre community and convention for manga, anime, sci fi, and fantasy but M.A.S.F.F. is kind of a mouth full. All other M.E.W. meetings and events with the exception of the New Years convention are all ages. Our mission is to promote creativity and imagination through all forms art and literacy. Fans, writers and artists alike are encouraged to have fun, connect and exchange ideas through events, forums, websites and meetings.
